All five Alpe letters, A, E, M, S and V, can now be ordered framed, in a wood frame with an acrylic front made for children's rooms. A letter on a child's wall gets looked at, pointed at and, now and then, reached for. The frame was chosen with that room in mind.
Alpe's Danish alphabet prints are hand-drawn letters by Alan Pedersen, each filled with animals, fruits and characters whose Danish names share the letter. Every edition of A, E, M, S and V can be bought framed in three sizes, in a wood frame with an acrylic front instead of glass, made for children's rooms. Framed and shipped from Copenhagen.
A Frame Made for a Child's Room
The frame is wood, and the front is acrylic instead of glass. That choice comes from where these prints usually live. Alpe letters are made for children and their families, so they tend to hang in rooms where small hands and small faces get close to the drawing. Children's rooms are busy rooms, and the frame was picked for them rather than for a gallery wall.
Every framed order is framed and shipped from Copenhagen, where NOKUKO is based. Nothing changes for anyone who prefers to frame at home: a frame is included only when you choose one, and otherwise the print ships unframed, as it always has.

How to Choose the Right Frame for Your Letter
Every edition comes with four everyday frames, Oak, White, Black and Dark Oak, plus one or two accent frames chosen to suit that edition's colours. The accents come from a small set of four: Lilac, Rose, Sky Blue and Mint. On the Himmelblå A they are Lilac and Sky Blue. On the Rosenblad E they are Lilac and Rose.
If you would rather not decide alone, look for the Best match label on the product page. One frame per edition carries it. On the Himmelblå A it sits on White. The frames appear as round swatches with the price difference under each, and the photo changes as you choose, so you can see the edition in each frame before you decide. The room scenes further down the page are there for mood, and the frames in them are for illustration.
Framed, the three sizes cost 550, 900 and 1,160 kr, including VAT. Unframed they stay at 390, 590 and 690 kr, so the frame adds 160, 310 or 470 kr depending on size. Orders over €120 ship free, which means a framed 50x70 cm or 60x80 cm print ships free on its own.

Five Letters, Each With Its Own Story
Each letter is a different drawing with its own cast, and 36 colour editions across the five now come framed. Every one already has its own piece on the journal:
A, Danish Edition by Alpe: 21 animals, plus magical beings, fruits and goddesses, in six editions.
E, Danish Edition by Alpe: fairytale creatures and historical figures, in eight editions.
M, Danish Edition by Alpe: a letter full of things to find, in seven editions.
S, Danish Edition by Alpe: creatures and characters made for discovery, in eight editions.
V, Danish Edition by Alpe: a window, a watermelon and a bunch of grapes, in seven editions.
Every print is hand drawn in layers, coloured with care and printed on Fine Art Freja paper at 265 g, and each one carries Alpe's signature. NOKUKO donates to tree planting in Denmark through for example Plant et Træ and Klimatræ.
A framed letter is a small decision that lasts. It is the print a child grows up beside, and the one they are still pointing things out in years later.
The drawings are Alpe's, made by hand for children and their families. The frame is NOKUKO's, chosen for the room they will live in.
