About NOKUKO

An online art gallery from Copenhagen — where curiosity finds its wall.

NOKUKO – Creative Space is a Copenhagen-based online art gallery, founded by Alan Pedersen (Alantherock). We curate original paintings, photography, and fine art prints from artists who create with genuine thought, feeling, and purpose — handpicked to evoke curiosity, thoughtfulness, and the kind of pleasure that stays with you.

The name holds the origin: NOKUKO represents NOrdisk KUnst KØbenhavn — Nordic Art, Copenhagen. Five distinct creative voices make up our gallery:

Alan Pedersen – Alantherock — founding partner, visual artist, and photographer. His work is rooted in curiosity, lived experience, and a lifelong need to capture the beauty that hides in the everyday.
SOAL Studio — a Copenhagen creative collective who build art without limits. No prescribed styles, no frames — just pure creativity with a Scandinavian soul and a global eye.
Lis Lauendorf — a lifelong autodidact painter. Her paintings go in all directions and reflect the full spectrum of a life lived through colour and feeling.
Pública Rework — artists who extend the value of art by reimagining masterpieces into something new. Remixes, reworks, and reinterpretations done with deep respect for the originals.
Alpe — a creative project by Alan Pedersen, built around one idea: that art can be a bridge. Designed to spark curiosity and genuine dialogue between children and parents — because wonder has no age limit.

We believe original art belongs in more homes. Not in galleries behind velvet ropes — but on the walls you wake up to every day. Considered. Accessible. Made to last.

For every print sold, NOKUKO donates to plant trees. Because creativity and responsibility should grow together.

Mission and Vision — Art Is Life

For us, meaningful original art is the creative essence of why NOKUKO exists. We recognise art’s worldwide impact and its need for creative and explorative characteristics. With the gallery’s origin in Scandinavia, art (and design) is a cliché way of life, resonating incredibly well in this context. The enormous interest in art also means high expectations, whether it’s a painting, print, or photograph — it must include reflections, tell stories, and offer depth. It can best be described as a cultural way of viewing life, where life is art, and art is life.

At NOKUKO, we aim to elevate this concept by offering a wide range of the best-crafted art by our home artists, Alan Pedersen — Alantherock, SOAL Studio, Lis Lauendorf, Alpe, and Pública Rework.

We print only upon purchase to minimise unnecessary resource waste and prioritise sustainably sourced materials in our production processes.

Our commitment to environmental responsibility is ingrained in our art and business philosophy. We continuously strive to enhance our practices for the betterment of our customers, artists, and Mother Nature.

Each of us bears the responsibility to champion sustainability. At NOKUKO, we also embrace a social-economic strategy aimed at giving back. For every artwork purchased, whether print or original, we pledge to plant new trees, completing the environmental cycle. Additionally, we support select social causes such as WWF and Red Cross, amplifying our dedication to making a positive impact.
